Do you need to have a cosmetology license to run a Beauty Salon?

My stepmother wants to open up a Beauty Salon, but she doesn't intend on doing anything with the customers. She'll be managing the salon. She plans on hiring employees that have cosmetology licenses.

Anybody know what she needs to go through to get her salon up and running?

Contact your local labor board. Someone in that location must have a license, yes, but not necessarily the owner.

A business license first of all regardless what business you are in. Second just the knowledge of running any business.
