Health tips- small things to add to your day for a healthier you?

I am on a wellness committee @ work and we are trying to come up with a calendar that has daily tips to be healthier…for example park farther away when you park, drink 8 cups of water, add a fruit to your meal…you get the idea. What are some more simple things we can add to have people do to be healthier?


Stop smoking if you smoke.

Get a pedometer to see how many steps a day you walk.

Join a gym- even better, join a gym with your spouse/co-worker/friend so you have someone to keep you going back.

Living healthy life or total health is not just about doing exercises, it involves many factors. It involves physical health, mental health, spiritual health, family health etc. Read more on my site.

take a multivitamin, use sunscreen and moisturize your skin, sit/stand up straight, deep breathe/stretching at your desk, smile/laugh

take the stairs

1) Sprinkle seeds on ur morning cereal

2) Have half ur dinner plate veggies

3) drink herbal tea (add honey to sweeten)

4) have small packet if nuts in ur desk drawer for the 4pm slump

5) try making a smoothie for breakfast

hope that helps! wat a good idea - wish we had a commitee at my work!

Drink a hot tea with no sugar instead of coffee

Eat a lot of fiber

Eat salads and green leafy vegetables

Limit the amount of meat you eat (especially beef, steak, pork) this is good for the environment, your health, and is cheaper

Eat smaller portions at meals
