หนาวปีนี้มะขามป้อมเป็นสมุนไพรพระเอกของฤดูหนาวอีกชนิดหนึ่งที่ถูกกล่าวขวัญมาก ผู้เขียนเคยไปเดินป่าเก็บลูกมะขามป้อมกินสดๆ แรกๆ กัดเข้าไปทั้งฝาดทั้งขมและก็เปรี้ยว เรียกว่าหลับตาปี๋เลยทีเดียว แต่พอสักครู่เคี้ยวไปเคี้ยวมาทำไมรู้สึกว่าหวานได้ ที่สำคัญชุ่มคอจริงๆ จึงนำเรื่องน่ารู้เกี่ยวกับมะขามป้อมมาฝาก

มะขามป้อม

ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ Phyllanthus emblica Linn. วงศ์ EUPHORBIACEAE

ชื่ออื่น กำทวด (ราชบุรี) สันยาส่า มั่งลู่ (กะเหรี่ยง-แม่ฮ่องสอน) กันโตด (เขมร-จันทบุรี) อิ่ว อำใบเหล็ก (จีน)

ลักษณะ มะขามป้อมเป็นพรรณไม้ยืนต้นขนาดสูงประมาณ 7-15 เมตร ลำต้นมีเปลือกเรียบเกลี้ยง ลอกออกเป็นแผ่นๆ

ใบ ใบเดี่ยวเรียงชิดติดกันคล้ายขนนก ปลายใบยาวรี สีเขียวแก่ ยาวประมาณ 1 ซม.

ดอก ออกดอกเป็นช่อหรือเป็นกระจุก ดอกเพศผู้และดอกเพศเมียแยกกันอยู่บนต้นเดียวกัน หนึ่งดอกมีกลีบดอกประมาณ 5-6 กลีบ มีสีเหลืองอมเขียว

ผล รูปร่างกลม ผิวเกลี้ยง เนื้อหนา รสฝาด มีเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางประมาณ 2 ซม. เปลือกแบ่งเป็นสันความยาว 6 ซม. ภายในเนื้อมีเมล็ดสีน้ำตาลอยู่ 6 เมล็ด

แนะพ่อแม่ควรเอาใจใส่ดูแลเป็นพิเศษ

เด็กอ่อนเป็นเด็กเล็กที่มีภูมิต้านทานต่างๆ ยังน้อยอยู่ ควรได้รับการเอาใจใส่ดูแลเป็นพิเศษ
โรคที่พบได้บ่อยๆ ในฤดูหนาวที่สำคัญคือ โรคการติดเชื้อในระบบทางเดินหายใจ

ในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายน ถึงเดือนมกราคมของทุกปี จะเป็นระยะที่อากาศเริ่มเย็นลง เด็กๆ จะเริ่มไม่สบายกันมากโดยเฉพาะเด็กเล็ก ซึ่งมีอายุต่ำกว่า 1 ปี

ในช่วงนี้ไวรัสบางตัวจะมีการเจริญเติบโตได้ดี จึงพบโรคซึ่งเกิดจากการติดเชื้อไวรัสได้บ่อย โดยเฉพาะการติดเชื้อไวรัสในระบบทางเดินหายใจ การอักเสบของโพรงจมูกและลำคอ ที่เรารู้จักกันว่า "ไข้หวัด"

โดยเฉพาะเด็กซึ่งมีอายุต่ำกว่า 6 เดือน จะมีทางเดินหายใจค่อนข้างเล็ก เมื่ออากาศเย็นลง ร่างกายจะพยายามปรับอุณหภูมิของอากาศ ซึ่งจะผ่านลงไปในปอดให้อุ่นขึ้น โดยการเพิ่มปริมาณเลือดที่ไหลมายังโพรงจมูกให้มากขึ้น

เมื่อเลือดไหลมาที่โพรงจมูกมากกว่าปกติ เยื่อบุจมูกจะมีการบวม ดังนั้น เราจะสังเกตได้ว่าเด็กอ่อนในช่วงหน้าหนาว จะมีอาการหายใจขัดหรือหายใจลำบากได้ บ่อย เมื่อมีอาการอักเสบจากเชื้อไวรัส เยื่อบุจมูกจะหลั่งสารเมือกซึ่งเราเรียกว่า "น้ำมูก" ออกมามาก ทำให้เด็กหายใจลำบากมากขึ้น

นอกจากอาการหายใจลำบาก เด็กบางคนจะมีอาการไข้ต่ำๆ ร้องกวน ดูดนมได้น้อยลง อาจมีอาการไอเล็กน้อย

ดังนั้น เมื่อเด็กมีอาการหายใจลำบาก เนื่องจากเยื่อบุจมูกบวม ควรให้การช่วยเหลือ โดยการใช้สำลีพันปลายไม้ชุบน้ำอุ่น เช็ดในโพรงจมูก ทั้งสองข้าง ในกรณีที่เป็นมาก เด็กอาการไม่ดีขึ้น หลังจากการช่วยเหลือ ดังกล่าว เราอาจให้การช่วยเหลือโดยใช้สำลีพันปลายไม้ ชุบยาที่ช่วยลด อาการบวมของเยื่อบุจมูก เช็ดในโพรงจมูก วันละ 3-4 ครั้ง

ไม่ควรใช้ยา นี้ติดต่อกันเกิน 3 วัน ถ้ามีความจำเป็นต้องใช้ยาเกิน 3 วัน ควรหยุดยา 1 วัน แล้วใช้ต่อไปได้ ผู้ปกครองไม่ควรใช้น้ำมันระเหย หรือยูคาลิปตัส มาป้ายบริเวณจมูก เสื้อหรือหน้าอก เพราะอาจมีอันตรายต่อเด็กเล็กๆ ได้

ไม่ควรใช้ยาลดน้ำมูกชนิดรับประทานกับเด็ก ซึ่งมีอายุต่ำกว่า 6 เดือน เพราะนอกจากจะทำให้เสมหะหรือน้ำมูกเหนียวมากขึ้นแล้ว ถ้าใช้เกินขนาดอาจเกิดพิษจากยาลดน้ำมูก ทำให้เด็กมีอาการ ชัก หรือหยุดหายใจได้

เมื่อเด็กเริ่มเป็นหวัด พยายามให้ความอบอุ่นแก่ร่างกาย ให้เด็กพักผ่อนมากๆ นอกจากการให้ความอบอุ่นแก่ร่างกายแล้ว ควรให้เด็กดื่มน้ำมากๆ เพราะจะทำให้เสมหะใสขึ้น ทำให้ถูกขับออกจากปอด อาการไอ จะลดน้อยลงตามลำดับ ผู้ปกครองไม่ควรนำยาลดน้ำมูกมาใช้ เพราะจะทำให้เสมหะเหนียวมากขึ้น ทำให้ไปอุดหลอดลม เกิดภาวะแทรกซ้อนตามมาได้

การป้องกันผิวหนังของเด็กเล็กที่สำคัญ คือ ไม่ควรอาบน้ำอุ่นให้กับเด็กบ่อยครั้งนัก เพราะน้ำอุ่น จะชะล้างไขมันที่เคลือบผิวหนังออกไปจนหมด

สรุปในช่วงหน้าหนาวควรทำให้ร่างกายของเด็กอบอุ่น เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดการอักเสบขึ้นในระบบทางเดินหายใจ ในกรณีที่เป็นหวัดควรทำให้ทางเดินหายใจส่วนบนโล่งอยู่เสมอ เพื่อให้เด็กหายใจได้สะดวก ถ้าเด็กไอมาก มีอาการหายใจเร็วหรือหายใจลำบาก ควรพาเด็กไปปรึกษาแพทย์

ในระยะนี้ ไม่ควรทำความสะอาดเด็กบ่อยครั้งนัก เพราะจะทำให้ผิวแห้งและแตกได้ ถ้าพบว่าเด็กเริ่ม มีอาการดังกล่าว การใช้ครีมทาผิวหนังในระยะแรก อาจช่วยป้องกันหรือลดการอักเสบของผิวหนังจากความเย็นลงได้

Liquid Eye Liner and Mascara
Up to three months! When coming to your liquid eyeliner or mascara, you should know that every time you take the wand or brush out of the tube and use it, thereÂ’s the potential for contaminants. Your eye is a moist area and a haven for bacteria, which is why sharing your liquid eyeliner or mascara, is not a good idea.
