Where can I donate used hair and beauty products?

I have a lot of half and 2/3 full bottles of various hair and face products. Is there anyplace I could donate these items? It seems a shame to throw it all away now that I've found what works.

I'm not sure if anyone will take them...

But you could try your local women's shelter or maybe a halfway house for women and girls.

I'd call and ask. The worst they can do is say no.

No one will take them. Once personal products are opened no one can give them away (like Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.) nor can they sell them.

What should i name my Beauty Spa/Salon?

I'm 21 years of age currently putting together a business plan and struggling to think of a name for my spa/salon.

The services offered will include; massage (aromatherapy, swedish & indian head); reflexology; electrical facials; tans; luxury mani & pedicures; nail extensions; make-up application; eyebrow & lash treatments...to name just a few!

I would like the name to suggest relaxation and pampering rather than focusing on the superficial beauty as i believe it may be more alluring however that is just one opinion.

All ideas are very welcome and i don't want to rule out any ideas at this stage so please don't hesitate to make a suggestion.

Hope you can help!

salón de relajación = Relaxation Salon

salón madura = salon mellow

salón todo = salon everything

You could actually just go w/ your name Beauty Spa & Salon

You could make it short and simple too.

Just your name, i.e. Jennifers or something like that.

Scissors,

Extensions,

*****edit**** That Jenny girl below me has some awesome Idea's.

serenity

tranquility

harmony

hush

appease

solace

Here's a few from the top of my head, I'm not really editing as I go so some of them may be pretty bad ...

Lovely Lily Day Spa (though that isn't ideal for a unisex spa)

Lose Yourself (or Free Yourself) (or Find Yourself)

Silence Stress

Your Time Spa

Slow Oblivion Day Spa

Just Because Day Spa

Where can I buy Schwartzkopf color for my beauty salon?

I want to open a beauty salon uzing schwartzkopf color. but I dont' want to contact the schwartzkopf rep for prices and catalogs, since he will tell my current boss who will fire me if she finds out I want to open my own place. Where can I get info on prices and catalogs other than the sales rep?

Check here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fsite-directory%2F&tag=funjok-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

You can find it.

Good luck!

Why do you think the rep. will tell your current boss? It isn't his job to go around gossipping about his clients. Each of his clients is a private matter and should not be discussed with other clients, that is unprofessional, and possibly against company policy. Secondly, why do you think you would end up with the same rep. as your boss? there are multiple reps out there.

I don't think there is anywhere else the prices can be found. You can try looking on their website, but i don't believe they have the prices or catalogues listed.

Can i get my hair dyed by beauty schools?

Can i go to a beauty school and ask if they can dye my hair? will they?

Yes, my sister does that sort of thing all the time.

Yes. All Cosmetology Schools have a open floor, where trained Students work on real clients. It's basically a Salon, But with students.

yes, they will.

i had mine dyed at a beauty school.

it's usually less expensive there, too.

yes they do full service...for a fraction on the price, and dont worry about quality, they have instructors ight there to help.

some will, but you do not want an absolute noob messing your hair up permanent,

yes

What are some really good (and simple) beauty tips and such for a spa day at home?

me and my friends are having our own little spa thinger and we have very little ingredients. we just want some recipies for making masques or tips on making our hair softer. stuff like that. thanks. =)

I dont really have any recipes check out the other posts on here ...but heres some stuff you might want to do.

Number one: No spa day is fun without a mud mask!! There much better then facial masks and keep your face smooth and clean. They only costs 1/2$ depending where you get it from.

Number two: Have a manicure and a padicure you will need some funky colors i usually try something different like blue nail polish and then white at the type. Its a nice icy look i loved it. Also before you paint nails you might want to have a bucket with hot water and soap..relax for ten minutes then apply some foot cream. [[ I got a good one at walt mart thats also where i got the mud mask]]

Number three:Apply body lotion.

Number four: You can have a little picnic for lunch/supper or something if the whether is nice you can do it outside in your yard (Sounds stupid.. but its actually kinda fun lol). Four drinks try Lemonade/Ice Tea or if you can drink then get a cooler.

Number five:Your going to want some music at your spa day so make sure you burn a c-d the night before with music you all like. Dancing is also always fun.

Number six: Shave and pluck eyebrows and take a long bath since you got guests you might want to do this when everyone is gone at night or in the morining. So your guests wont be bored out of there mind.

Number seven: Watch some movies clasic chick flicks maybe mean girls its old but still good lol or something you where dying to watch.

Number eight:Look at some magazines and talk about the latest gossip! (Cosmo Girl, Seventeen)

Number nine: I heard they now got these hair masks never tried them but im sure there good too.

And there you go ... some fun things to do... sorry have no recipes.!

The thing that makes me feel super pampered is a full body scrub. You can do it with an oil and sugar granules

What is your favorite beauty salon in Singapore?

I'd like to go for a facial, get my pores cleaned etc. What beauty salon you'd recommend? I'm new to Singapore....

There are many beauty salons in Singapore. From the very high end to those home-based salons. It greatly depends on what your preference are and how much you are willing to pay. I've tried both ends of it. I found those home-based just as good. Prices are reasonable and they give good service.

At least those home-based are not pushy on products. They don't 'force' you into buying their products every time you finish a facial. It's so easy because we just go and get a facial done. No hassle.

-----

I like 2 small salons in the Orchard Road area--they use excellent product lines and I've enjoyed personal service each time I go.

Femma, #04-61, at Far East Plaza (Guinot)

Perfect Image Beauty on the 6th floor near the side escalators (not the escalators in the middle of the building) (Babor)

This question may look a little philosophical, but is the face beauty good or bad ?

good...from a guys perspective I am just nicer/more considerate when the GF/date is really pretty...it just puts me in a state of euphoria where nothing gets on my nerves, etc.

Inner beauty is best:-)

wtf?

am i the only one who's not able to make sense of that question?

good

both.

teehee 2points

very good.

I like face beauty. So it is good.

But pretty face is usually a spoiled brat. So bad; very bad.

Good.

Good

Does anyone knows how this business works?where to get the products at a wholesale price that will allow me make good profit margins when i resell the products to clients?

A saloon or a salon....If it's a saloon you won't sell that many beers with that kind of stuff hanging on the walls

thanks for voting that as the best answer, it was very helpful. thanks http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070317003109AAdb2Nl&kid=JYwpPlj0KEZ6NO6n7Kx5&s=comm&date=2007-03-23+01%3A31%3A13&.crumb=

Hi,

I know where you can find cheap wholesaler products for you , its salehoo , http://salehoo.co.nr . its a big wholesalers list

hope you find what your looking for

A saloon is another name for a bar. I think you mean salon.

You can also get great deals on ebay! I often buy really good hair extensions on there and they have good beauty products.

try typing in extension lot or somthing. =)

lot = wholesale basically.

You can find a number of manufacturers selling hair extensions wholesale here: http://www.import-export-guide.com

Here's one for example: http://www.import-export-guide.com/member/ylicelia

You could also try posting a Buy lead there for some of the other products you need.

This is an international b2b marketplace so you'll need to find out more about import-export. The site has an information section which will be a good place to start.

Ow much does it cost open a beauty salon?

Im considering going to beauty school and would like to know how much it will cost open a salon.

Wondering if someone would idea.

I've talked to quite a few owners in NYC and they've stated that to open your doors you'll need around $80K to $100K. The main thing to consider is your equipment (lease or purchase), your location rent/lease, your supplies/advertising and employee salaries. As as well enough saved for your salary until you turn a profit. Don't forget to gain clientele before you start spending money. The first few months you're gong to have more expenses until you get your name out and people now you're open for business.

AL0T 0F M0NEY DATS ALL i'M GUNNA SAY

In NYC, opening such a monster costs 50 million dollars.

I opened one in 1996 for about $15,000. I rented a small bldg with a bathroom, bought 2 stations from armstrong-mccall, had a plumber put in a wash basin for hair, and a relitively inexpensive sign. I showed a profit the first year. You can go all out and spend big bucks or do like I did and be comfortable the first year. Spend alot on advertising. Thats what will get people in the door

Probably alot but if you want to work mabe a couple of thousand.

$5,000 - $50,000

It costs about 300,000 in California. But that's California.

I hate Earth and I wanna go to Neptune to get out of this Earth, do u like to go with me? u don't have to open a salon.

it costs nothing to open just push the door and walk in

Where can I buy a beauty spot to stick on my face?

I want to restart a fad of the 50's - the wearing of fake beauty spots. Don't want to pencil it on - where can I buy stick-on?

I have a friend who is indian. She sometimes wears these little dot thingys that are called bindis. You can get them in any color you want. Try to go to some indian store and ask if they have any bindis. If you aren't able to do this, then i think the easiest way would be to use a liquid eyeliner and just dab on a little dot.

idk... maybe an accessorie store?

Is real human hair sold in beauty supply shops?

The kind of human hair that isn't already threaded together to make a weave, the kind that is sold in strands.

Also Is it expensive to buy if it is found in beauty supply stores.

in some yes=

Real human hair is sold at beauty shops but it tends to be very expensive.. depending on how long you want the extension the prices can range from 50$ to about 200$ for a long piece and 50$ for a short strand... you are better off to wait for you hair to grow. But if you desperately need it buy it through your hair salon!

Yes , but it depends where u go and the type of hair u r getting and this is called Bulk hair. Prices can range from 2.99 and up.

yup but i would NEVER buy that stuff

yeah its expensive duh it came off of somebodys head

yes, and yes

Natural Beauty/Spa recipes?

Does anyone have any easy spa beauty recipes for things like: bath soak, foot soak, facial mask, etc. that can be made from kitchen supplies and herb/flower plants (for example, I have a mint plant on the balcony and lemon juice in the fridge but I don't want to limit it to those as I will be adding more herbs and have other supplies than lemon juice).

P.S. I would like to not add eggs or milk in these. Thanks.

"How it all Vegan" by Sarah Kramer and Tanya Barnard has a health and beauty section of natural body care products. If you don't have that yet, you may want to check it out.

How much space should there be between beauty couches in a salon?

How much in cm space should there be between the couches in a beauty salon as i have to design this for my beauty homework!Is there anything to do with health and safety regulations that i must comply with?the space needs to be enough for two therapists to work between couches but not enuf to waste space!thanks!!

I think if the building is going to be used by the public, then you have to, by law, make it disable friendly, therefor allow a gap of 800mm (80cm) this is the minimum width of a wheel chair.

Good luck !

50cms minimum space,

fitted two the other month,, i thought it was small,, but it was stated in the litreture.

good luck

If you employ thin therapists, and take only thin clients, then you can buy narrow couches and cram more in.

Is Dove soap/beauty bar suitable for washing the face with?

Does anyone wash their face with the dove beauty bar? Is it good for this? I want something that cleans, does not leave dry and is good for the complexion. Thank you.

Yes. I am 65 years old and use Dove beauty bar every morning. Splash your face with warm water. Lather your hands with the soap and hand-wash your face. Flush your face with cupped hands under running water, splashing all areas of your face until the soap is rinsed off. Take the towel to dry your face, but don't rub. Just pat the water/moisture off your face, then while it is still damp put on face cream. Been doing my morning beauty wash like this since I was 11 and been using Dove since it came onto the market. It works. I look 45. Limited dry skin wrinkles. Go girl!

yes! when i was going to a dermatologist for my bad skin, i tried all the expensive prescription creams and salves he gave me to make my blemishes go away, but they all made my face SUPER dry. eventually, he told me to use the white dove soap twice a day and gave me a sample for a moisturizer and it worked great! i just washed my face with it this morning and used oil of olay moisturizer and my face is baby soft. now i have only the occasional blemish when i get stressed or touch my face too much and i have pretty much the perfect amount of moisture for my face.

if it's bad for your face i don't think my dermatologist would specifically recommend white dove soap (i think he said white because it lacks all the additives for colors) and if it was bad for my face i don't think my skin would feel and look so good right now.

hope that helps!

I use the senstive skin Dove bar on my face every morning and I love it. Makes it soft and clean without being dry. I have tried a million high end cleansers and Dove works jsut as well, if not better. My skin tends to break out sometimes so at night i use Mario Badescu acne wash (best acne wash ever!). Alternating the acne wash with the dove bar lets me keep the breakouts away without getting dry skin. My friend has only ever used the dove bar on her face and she has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen.

I think you can get a special bar of Dove now for your face. I know you can get special Pro-aging bars. I see someone has commented saying that they use it for their body but not their face. Who still washes themselves with soap? lol! I thought everyone used shower gel in today's world!!!

i dont use it for my face, i use it for my body. since it's called body soap, you use it on your body. but i wouldnt use it on my face,it may make you break out

Dove bar soap is really good for washing the face with, as long as you use it every day. its what i use and i dont have any face problems like acne or dry skin.

Dove and a wash cloth cleans and exfoliates wonderfully. It is a tried and true beauty regime.

oh? yeah. if you have normal skin. if you have dry...this will make it dryer. i use caress beauty bar with brightner, cause my skin is dry..it works better.

You could use it and then apply lotion on your face so your face won't be left dry.

you should never use soap on your face! get a facial clenser instead, soap, all soap is to harsh for your face.

yeah i use it all the time

Yeah i do that (= Just apply face moisturizer after you're done

My mother uses it. she says her skin is very dry and its the best soap she knows.

i heard dove made cancer,

its that ****.

dont use it on your body let alone your face!

What starting wages at afro hair beauty shop in sales assistant?

How can i find a buyer for my new very modern hair & beauty spa based in portsmouth?

i am selling due to the break up of my relationship with my beautician g/friend who ran the business. i am neither a hairdresser nor a beautician. the salon is very beautiful with four treatment rooms and 10 hair staions and further rooms for expansion on the first and second floor. the business has only been set up for 6 months but already has over 500 clients on the database

Get in some people who know what they're doing and keep running it, sounds like you got a potentially good business there.

A good idea might be to go onto one of those "answers" type message boards that are so popular at present. if you ask a question but at the same time, include a lengthy description of the business you are selling, you might reach a lot of potentially interested buyers.

Just a thought!

What is a cute color for a guy to wear when going to have his nails done at the beauty salon?

I am wanting to go to the beauty salon to ger my fingernails and toenails done but not sure what color to have my nails done with. I like bright pinks red purple and blue

I don't think he's asking about shirt color, but nail color.

~~~~
I'd say stick to clear, unless you're into rock, in which case go for black.
I've never seen guys get pink, red, or any other real colors on their nails, maybe this depends on where you live, or on your specific lifestyle.
Go with what you like, and enjoy the pampering.
lol,a nice simple pink!Or black,or some shiny clear :D or navy blue!!!
Go with the pink
ew...your a guy...
well I'd go for a clear polish...not too fancy but it's nice and clean looking =]
guys=no color
or
clear.
red
If you are asking about a shirt then Red.
ew.
a guy wanting to wear naiplolish???? eeewwwww..................
dont forget your high heels
I'd say stick to black, blue, or a very deep solid-hued purple. Dude, I live in san francisco and I've dated bi guys and so on, and I tell you what. Long, manicured nails with nail polish are not very attractive even if you're trying to rock the whole homo/bi vibe. It's just going to put off everyone. Polishing your nails is supposed to make one look well put together and cute, not freaky to the point of no-way.
i don't think it matters because no one is gonna be talking about the color of your shirt
I'm going Abroad for Laser treatments, to remove the Beauty Spots on my face?
which it does show on my passport photo , does any one know what I should do ? because maybe I will have problem when I come back to UK, at the passport control if they notice the beauty spots are not on my face any more. Please help : - (
Don't worry, a few spots aren't going to change your appearance to the point that they won't recognize your picture. They hardly even look at the picture, it's usually just a glance. Anyway, if you're really worried, you can show them your receipts or whatever from where you get your operation done, as well as some before and after photos if you have any.
well do you ever think after the beauty mark is gone you will have a face left to be seen into a pass port??
yhou can always have a new pass port made they are only 10.00 at walgreens store good luck with you surgery
I want to Create a Hair & Beauty Supply Website?
I have an idea to create my own website that sells hair weaves,tracks, and extensions.( I will also have a page that has a guide for good hair care etc.) I will order it at a good price at a wholesale store to make a good profit.
Anybody think this is a good idea? Any suggestions? Constructive criticism?
i think its a good idea, do u and have fun wit it...let me no how it goes..
Scavenger hunt or Beauty spa??
Well its my thirteenth birthday in a few months and i wanna be prepared but im stuck on 2 ideas a scavenger hunt or beaty spa. For the scavenger hunt wed go to the mall and have tasks like get a picture of you with the buildabear staff or a picture of you all in pink. For the beauty spa id have foot spa's and face masks and scented candles and turn a room into a spa.
Please say what one you'd rather go to.
And post ideas for the one you choose like if you chose scavenger put ideas for the list but if you chose beauty spa post things i could buy or do.
Thankyou!! x
omg i wanna come!!!!
i would deffo do the scavenger hunt...
u could do stuff like... umm
-put a pair of guys tighty whiteys on ur head and take a pic
-walk round with big FREE HUGS signs
- ride on them kids rides
- try on the biggest wedding dress you can find
i dont really know
but have heaps of fun!!!!
xxx
Why not do both? Go to the mall and have a scavenger hunt in Bath & Body Works or a similar store. See who can find the cheapest scented candles, foot spas, and face masks. Also look around for the stands with free face mask samples. When you get home with the girls turn your room into a spa and use all your new products from the mall scavenger hunt. You may want to make the party a sleepover and do the spa part at night and before that the scavenger hunt during the day.
I'd prefer to do a scavenger hunt.
1. Take a picture with the funniest, biggest hat you can find
2. Take a picture with the ugliest shoes you can find
3. Take a picture of yourself dressed like a movie star
Plus, it would be cheaper than buying everyone a spa package or a manicure...
You could do either. Personally I would like the spa. Next year you could do the scavenger hunt or maybe you could do the hunt at the mall and then come home and do at home foot spa or something.
Have a scavenger hunt around your neighborhood, and then have an at-home spa afterwards, doing each others nails, putting on those face mask things, and doing each others hair
I love the scavanger hunt idea. So much fun. Its something different. You could maybe have a sleepover afterwards if your parents would let you and do spa stuff then.
beauty spa
i went to a scavenger hut part before(my friend was turing 13) it was a lot of fun and a great idea for a party... =]
beauty spa
both 13 is a big deal your gonna be a teen its a big deal make it really fun
What is included in job training as a therapist in beauty salon?
What is included in job training as a therapist in beauty salon?
To be specific what on job training can be conducted for a therapist in the beaty salon?
Thanks in advance
I do not understand this question. What do you mean therapist in a beauty salon?
How can I use oatmeal as a face mask (and other beauty questions)?
What type of oatmeal should I use and should I use it with any other ingredients? For how long should I keep it on my face?
And for dark circles under my eyes? I get plenty of sleep yet I still have noticeable circles. Any homemade remedies for that? One again, what should I use and for how long?
And what can I use for making my hair shiny? Thank you!
oatmeal facial mask -
http://www.beautytipsonline.com/oatmeal-mask.htm
circles under you eye -
caused by : broken capillaries as well as long term allergies side effect which gives under eye a brownish tint.
treatment: There is a new roll on caffeine stick from Garnier. Home remedies don't seem to work.
cover up :
1) do not apply any concealer over the area, it draws more attention rather than cover.
2) Use loose powder and a white eye liner inside your bottom lash line. this has the effect of making your eyes pop and and taking attention away from under your eye
3) Use only good quality liner pencils and mascara. As the day goes by the less expensive products tend to "shed" or "breakdown". When this happens the area below your eye is where it settles leaving the area even darker.
application:
1) Before applying any eye makeup dab on loose face powder
a) lightly over eye lid and then dust under your eye. (one shade lighter than face and think clown face amount)
2)apply all eye make up. Once full eye is completed and dry use a fan brush to whisk away excess powder.
3) This kind of application will give you perfect eyes all day without dark circles.
Hair: Wash hair in warm water. Use a gentle clean shampoo and apply conditioner only from ear to ear and down. (Your scalp has natural oils to condition that top of ears area.) When ready to rinse out condition apply cold water. The coldest you can stand it to rinse your hair. This will make each individual hair shaft smooth and your hair will be super shiny.
Does a beauty Salon and Spa have Tanning?
Does a Beauty Salon and Spa have Tanning in it? for People who wish to tan..?
not all of them. usually you have to go to a salon that is specifically for tanning.
How can i tell my mom that i want to go with her to the beauty salon?
My mom goes to the beauty salon to get her nails done. How can i tell her that i want to go with her to have my nails done like she has her nails done? I am a guy and i dont know how to tell her this is what i want her to do for my birthday?
Save up your money, so it'll be easier, and if she doesn't know about this 'side' of you, there is no better time, although, i think, with school starting you probably should get them done now, because they make holding pens really complecated....
Put a dress on and go with her pretty boy.
Looool, pretty boy.
Dress up in her clothes.. She'll get the idea.
IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TELL YOU PARENTS THAT YOU ARE GAY. UNTIL YOU TELL HER/THEM YOU WILL BE TORMENTED INSIDE LIKE YOU ARE NOW. WHEN THE "SECRET" IS OUT IN THE OPEN IT MAY BE A BIT AWKWARD FOR A BIT FOR EVERYONE BUT IT WILL CHANGE AND YOU WILL AGAIN FEEL VERY GOOD LIKE YOU HAVE BEFORE.
I DON'T KNOW WHEN YOU'RE BIRTHDAY IS BUT YOU BETTER TELL HER NOW TO GET OVER ANY SHOOK SHE MAY FEEL OR SHE MAY BE UNCOMFORTABLE AND GET YOU A GIFT CERTIFICATE SO YOU MAY GO YOURSELF.
THE BEST OF LUCK TO YOU.
This one is alittle tough seeing that your not requesting to get just a regular manicure for hygiene purposes. If you and your mother have an open relationship just tell her "Mom, next time you go to the salon I want to go with you to get my nails done as well; plus it will be a good bonding time for us." If you and your mom have a less open relationship you can drop little subtle hints about wishing your nails looked more like hers. The main thing is to just be honest with her. She is your mom and most parents that truly love their children don't judge them and will be happy to have you join her. Good Luck and hope you get to go for your birthday!!
WOW!! UMM, JUST TELL HER THAT U WANT TO GET UR NAILS DONE, DONT KNOW HOW SHE WILL TAKE IT , BUT JUST TELL HER. IS SHE ASKS IF YOUR GAY, JUST TELL HER THE TRUTH.
uh-oh!!! you have a problem!!!
I am sure you will have some resistance from your mother, but if you just tell her and explain why...(if you know) and possibly if you have your own money, she might consent, (it is very expensive to have it done and then there is the maintenance to pay for as well)
Just say "HEY MOM!, I want to be fake like you too!"
LOL !!!
You like to get a manicure / pedicure also . ( lots of men get them)
Stay away from acrylics and colors please. Not a very cool look on a guy .
huh what?are you serious? ok well happy b-day! ok well jsut say mom i would like to get my nails done with you on my b-day it would be a great way to bond!
You're not losing a son, you're gaining a daughter.
Don't. Just go on your own.
Go into a closet and call your mom, when she gets there, walk out of the closet. She will get the idea.
This really depends on a lot of things. Basically, if your mom knows you are into this kinda thing and doesn't object, she still may be shy about having it done at her salon. Those are places women tend to go to relax and talk about 'girl' things. She may not want you in that world.
If she doesn't know you like to wear long nails, that's not really the way to spring it on her.
Why don't you find your own salon and let her have her own place? I'm sure there's something else you'd like for your birthday that wouldn't cause as much friction.
Hey, that's my two cents.
just tell her, shes your mother, she'll understand!
:)
do u want to get teased u weird gay guy!!
Hum...well guys dont usually get their nails done but i guess its okay. You can do this:
Tell her that you think your naisl are gross and they really need to be great for ur b-day
^^ good luck
Well you better write it on the paper then put in your mom's purse..
When she goes out for the beauty salon ask her if you can drop her there..
Then follow your plan,just say her to open up the paper and insist her..
Also say some words praising her and try to impress her as much as you can...
Paint your nails with black paint and show her that you feel odd while travelling outside ...mentioning that the sole reason for it is the"Black paint"and nothing else!
Well, this is an unusual situation but, do you really think you should tell her?Do you really think she will be happy to hear that? I think if the answer to my two questions are yes you could start of my telling her how you like her nails when she comes home from the beauty shop. Tell her you think it would look good on you too. Ask er to maybe take you along. I think you should take it step by step.
What would you prefer, beauty of face or beauty of inner self?
Honestly, If I have to choose between beauty of face or beauty of inner self, I prefer both. But f have to choose really only one, It would be beauty of inner self. If you are at peace with your self, everything will follow. Because If you are at peace, your physical beauty will follow even if you are not a typical ms. universe beauty. Because If you are at peace, your sleeping pattern is okay. Not thinking too much. If your contented with your life, It really shows. Your skin glows. In other words you have a good aura.
Well said, but I think most people don't come to that conclusion until they are older. BRILLIANT!!! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20081123010506AAEhqoR&kid=PLF5UjDeN3o8iBlXykC2&s=comm&date=2008-11-25+06%3A45%3A47&.crumb=
Me being a girl and answer this you make think im a lesbian but im not. I see it like this. Its not what is on the out side. Its whats on the inside. You can be very pretty but have a very ugly personality (and it makes you ugly) Or you can be okay looking and have a Beautiful personality. I think looks is just an extra bonus for someone. So i would rather have beauty on the inner self!
:]
Everyone wants beautiful children. But not everyone is going to get beautiful children, even if you married a beautiful person because they could be born with a birth defect or other things. So I would prefer a beautiful personality. I have dated a guy who was cute but he felt he wasn't attractive yet he was very cocky! The cockyness was a total turn off so I'd rather fall in love with a great personality than a person who is full of themselves.
beauty of inner self.
if you think about it, when someone has a horrible personality, and is beautiful, it makes them appear less attractive. When you have a nice personality it really works out way better, and i'd rather know someone with a great personality than just good looks.
And if someones beautiful and has a good personality? Score!
beauty of face captures attention, beauty of inner self captures the heart.
In my case, i have to be attracted to a guy, but that does not mean to say he is good looking.. just the fact there is an attratraction.
on a whole, personality is far more important, you need to be able to have a nice conversation or have fun in your relationship.
both ideally :P
But when it comes down to it, is it easier to live with someone who is a little difficult but gorgeous, or wonderful inside by ugly?
Hmm. I think my personality, I would prefer someone who is beautiful because I think I can get along with just about anybody. But inner self is what gives you joy and longevity.
So I'd go with inner beauty... and hope he's a catch :)
I think inner beauty shows out ward in people that truly posses it. Usually I am attracted first to exterior features, then discover what is inside. Sometimes after being just friends I have discovered that there is indeed an attraction to personality, and I must admit at first I thought that I was forgoing looks, but I was wrong. As I said "inner beauty shows out ward in people that truly posses it."
that's a tough question... beautiful people are more successful, have higher salaries, are liked more by people, are happier, and smarter. Beauty of the inner self is nice too... but if I were to wish anything for my future children... it would be that they looked beautiful... it would lead to the higher likelihood of a happy life.
I don't think you're happy if you look good but you don¨t feel good about yourself inside. "The body is the shell of the soul." The body won't last forever, but the soul and personality will...
I believe that if you love yourself, you'll take care of yourself and look the best you can.
Yeah, I would really choose of beauty of my inner self.
People would please you when your just your self and, is very pretty in your heart and soul. It would attract some guys.
But I agree, maybe, you should atleast make the best of your self. And you'll be like..."PERFECT!"
Hope this helps...
I would perfer beauty of the face, because i feel that you can learn how to have inner beauty. On the other hand, you can't do anything about how you look on the outside.
both.
too hard to split in my opinion.
but inner beauty is easier to live with than face of beauty i think.
answer mine please http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081123004932AApVCrY&r=w
Beauty fades, but personality always stays. Of course we'd like both though.
I honestly think I'd need both. I wouldn't want an ugly 3ft girl with stubs for arms. I want to be able to enjoy kissing her also.
regans right i can get on with just about anybody as well and there are that many people who are purly evil like hitler for example most people ar ok
beauty of inner self because it makes your face radiant..like a halo..lol
beauty of the face... its always fat and ugly people who are nice. No one really likes them...
both but definitely beauty of inner self..
I prefer the second option. It lasts longer.
it depends on what type of society, but i would prefer both
How do u get from New street station Birmingham England to Juliets hair and beauty...On Foot, Postcode B54EG??
I just need to know how to get to Juliets hair and beauty from Birmingham new street station on foot because i can only find directions by car ?
Please help Lol
xox
1. Depart onto New Street
2. Turn left onto Ethel Street
3. Turn left onto Pinfold Street
4. Turn right onto Navigation Street
5. Turn left onto Hill Street
6. Turn left onto Hinckley Street
7. Turn right onto Theatre Approach
8. Arrive at your destination.
Sounds a long way but Multimap says it takes approx 8 mins to walk.
It's probably easier to come out of the main exit of new street.
Walk through the guards, and up the escalators. Turn left and follow the path around, past Vision Express, HMV and Woolworths. Walk down the slope onto the main road, then turn left and walk back on yourself, with Waterstones on your right. Follow the road around (this is Navigation Street). At the road junction, turn left and follow that road (Hill Street). You'll now be around the back of the train station. The third road on your left is Hinkley street. Turn down that, and then turn right onto Theatre approach.
Your hairdressers should be there, if that postcode is right
It literally just around the corner, i typed the postcode into google and got this:
Where is the best Beauty Salon in Orange County CA?
Hi guys, my birthday is coming up and I'd like to take my girls out for a day at the beauty salon to get our nails done, our hair done and also our makeup. However, we can't afford to go somewhere too fancy since we will need money for the night too.
Do you guys know of some place in OC Ca that is not too pricey, with a good setting and good services? I don't need a spa or facial, just nail, hair and makeup.
Thanks.
Beauty/Spa tips??????
I want to have more beauty and spa tips so, yea. thanks!
Facial Mask:
This at-home mask can be simply made in under a minute.
· Mix 1-2 tbsp. of clay powder (available at health food stores) with spring water until paste is smooth
· Apply with fingertips or spatula all over the face except the eye areas
· Leave for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water
Ingredients may vary according to skin type:
· For dry skin: Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil
· For normal skin: Add 1 tbsp. of plain yogurt
· For oily skin: Add 2 tbsp. of lemon juice
Sea Salt Foot & Body Bath:
This luxurious, soothing bath can be used as a foot soak or as an all over bath for the body â€" restoring the feet and body to a calm and balanced state. Ready in under a minute, it is suitable for all skin types.
Foot Soak:
· Mix 1/4 cup of sea salt to a bowl or pedicure style basin filled with hot water
A choice of essential oils can be added as well. Below are some of Kimberly's suggestions:
· LAVENDER
Lavender is Kimberly's first choice for the foot soak, especially for those suffering from athlete's foot or similar foot conditions. Lavender is also a great antiseptic and purifier. Add 10-15 drops of Lavender Oil to enjoy its relaxing aroma.
· LEMON
Has a wonderful cleansing and refreshing aroma, allows the feet and body to deep cleanse and renew.
· NEROLI
This is a wonderful treatment oil for dry cracked skin â€" it is extremely restorative and calming!
· TANGERINE
A fantastic aromatic oil that calms and soothes the nervous system.
Body Bath:
For the full body bath, this same soak can be created in your tub. Simply triple the ingredients!
Hope this helps!
What is the best wall color for a beauty salon?
I'm preparing my new beauty salon,
I need your advise regarding the best intrior walls colors.It has a reception+Massage room+hair styling room+waxing room+makeup room.The name of my salon is Hair4Her
I would go with the soft pastels and/or earth tones. Makes one feel very relaxed after spending the day @ the salon. Good Luck with your business. :-)
I watch a lot of HGTV and there is a show that is called GET COLOR. I love this show they say that sandy browns and rich blues are relaxing colors. I think those colors could be good. Good louck with your salon.
One of the coolest salons I've ever been in had murals on the walls, sort of a celestial scene with lots of blues and purples. Anything that gives the customer something to look at is good. If you're going for something more traditional, a nice clean, bright white looks very professional and makes the space feel large. For the make-up room you would probably want white, because you don't want the walls to cast any colors on the clients that might affect the make-up application. For the massage and waxing rooms, I would go with something soothing - either a light blue, minty green, or a lavender. Green is an especially calming color. A yellow or orange might be good for the hair styling room because these colors excite people and cheer them up (getting a hair cut can be rather boring), just avoid anything too bright.
Go with light green or pearl white.
As a massage therapist, I like to go botanical. In my room, I used reed fence ($20 for a 6x20 ft roll) to line my wall all the way around the room. Wire snippers are all you need to make cutouts for light switches and whatnot. Then some well placed tropical plants and flowy white window sheers on windows and in doorways really work. Also use candles and water fountains to create ambiance. The other therapists' clients kept wanting to get their massage in my room!
Id make it very trendy, I go to Toni and Guy, its all black and white! it looks sooo cool!
Even the stylists wear only black and white
I's pick a nice neutral off white like eggshell or ecru, but not too much yellow in it because it will affect how the hair colors and makeup are perceived
It would depend on if you're going for a trendy look or a relaxing atmosphere.
be careful...I would use white with colored accents. ANY color will affect the tones (natural and artifical) in customers hair.
Is there any possible way i can get a beauty mark on my face?
i want a beauty mark on a certain part of my face, is there any way i can get it?naturally or fake.?
Theres no way you can get it done naturally. If it was going to be natural you would be born with it. You can get a beauty mark tatted on thou. I know somebody who did that and it looks real.
fake..i don't believe u can get one naturally..unless you have a mole removed from part of the body & transformed to your face which still wouldn't be naturally...depends on where u want it, get a monroe piercing or draw one on with eyeliner? or brow liner
:/ I think you can only use make up.
well you could get a tatoo one!
i know people who've had those.
and DO NOT use a sharpie!
its perfectly fine to use eyeliner, but not black!
beauty marks are really dark brown.
Sharpie?
aren't you sposed to be born with em..
tattoo!! but be sure that you want it!
Does anyone have any hair beauty/health tips? Or sites with tips?
Thanks & please help, anything, tips, facts, a site, anything like that that would help...about beauty or health tips or facts for hair.
Three teaspoons of olive oil, ½ teaspoon of castor oil and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil mixed in a paste made of fenugreek (methi) seeds is a must-try tip for combating frizz and dandruff. Apply it once a week for an hour before you shampoo your hair. Two tablespoons of curd (kept outside for three to four days) mixed with 3 teaspoons of lime juice applied as conditioner after shampooing is the best way to combat frizz. Keep the mixture on for half an hour and wash off. Boost the protein in your diet to keep your tresses stress-free. Eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits this season. Spinach, fenugreek, and eggs are good hair-nourishing foods.
In terms of beauty tips, I would suggest Allure.com or style.com For fashion, I would suggest Vogue, Bazaar, or if you're a bit younger, teenvogue. If you're more of a hip dresser, def. check out nylonmag.com for chic vintage inspired looks.
Try www.leonbrant.com.au. I do know that every time i need advice on any product i simply just send them an email. Usually takes about 10 mins for an answer!
Anybody recommend a good Beauty Salon/Spa in York?
Me and a couple of friends are going to York for the day one Saturday for my birthday and fancied booking ourselves in for some kind of treatment, maybe a facial or manicure, or both! Anyone got any recommendations? We'll be shopping most of the day so it will need to be in York city centre where all the shops are. Don't want to spend more than about £30 each.
beauty brands??
Is it better to get a makeup done at the mall or a beauty salon?
Prom is coming up and I want to get my make up done professionally but I'm not sure if I should get it done at the mall or a beauty salon?
Which one offers a better pricing/quality? Does anyone know? thanks.
Sephora does FREE makeup! Plus they have all the things you'll need to continue the look (even after prom).
mall
I think that if you call the mall and beauty salon, they can both quote you a price. Then you can go to the best deal. Have you considered doing a practice run? Go to the best deal and have your make up done as a practice run, Then you will be able to tell if they are good. You will not have to experiment on the important day.
I found a great place to get premuim make up. Check out www.naocosmetics.com It gives you awesome tips, plus the make up is incredible.
You can buy the make up from www.eliteliving.us
Hope this helps!
if you got to the mall and go to clinque estda ladure, lancome and places like that it is fine. But no madder where you go it will cost money
Some salons like ours have our own make artists. If the salon has a make up counter I would say they are qualified. Mac and Sephora and any other make-up counter are qualified to do make-up as well. Bring a picture of what look your going for that helps us out tremendously. Hope this helps!
Do some research, and a see if you can get a pre- run with your make-up to see what it looks like, you don't want to get it done the day of and be totally dissappointed. MAC seems to do a nice job, but I don't know if they do a pre-run.
The beauty salon because they are paid to do your make up
beauty salon cos they are more pro and has study over it but the price will more but it will satisfy you in the end
Whatever you do. DO NOT go to the MAC counter. I have seen numberous girls walk out looking like cheap hookers!!!!
Go to a salon. Go for a trial run first to pick your best colors and if you dont like it you can tweek the colors on your next visit.
Good Luck and have fun!!!
BEAUTY SALON AT LEAST THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. HAPPY PROM
to me i would ask both places for the price range but if your looking on time wise i would get my make-up done in the hair salon that way when your done doing your hair you can get started on your make-up. AND you'll be saving gas too cause you wouldn't be going from one place to another
of-course and don't buy with priceing but with quality.
When you go to the mall, they are going to want you to purchase something. When you go to a salon, you pay and go. I strongly suggest going to a salon. Consumer makeup (what you buy at the mall) won't give you the quality you want for special occasions.
Mall/Studio
Ok I know a bunch of these answers say the mall but I wouldn't do that because they are there strictly to try and sell you something. In a salon, and most stylists are trained in makeup application, they couldn't care less about that since that is not where they make their money. Plus it is their job to stay current on whats "in". Plus they deal with prom and homecoming girls all the time. I would know I am a stylist. :) Hope this answer helps you. Check out christimarcosmetics. com they have a lot fun colors for the cool and hip!
I would say a salon because they can give you a full great service.
Prices depends on what your getting done, I am not positive on which is better
Beauty salon...they actually know what they're doing. The mall people are just told to test everything no matter how it might turn out and then say it looks great.
It depends. Usually at malls you will find professional make up artists who are trained for that matter and have a lot of experience in what they do. Most make up artists will do a "make up trial", this is setting up two appointments, one let's say one month before your event so you can see if you like your make up and another on the actual day of the event, that way you're not stuck with makeup you dont like. Your are not expected to buy on both occasions, you can buy on the first appointment or the second. (But please, out of respect for the time of the artist, do buy something).
at the mall because the hair salon is when u get ur hair and nails done but not ur makeup go to the mall so if u need to get ur nails done u can at the same time.
I'd say Mall. Mall makeup people are so good and they know what looks good on who. Malls are totally FREE and a beauty salon costs like 50 or 60 bucks for an over glamming job. Go for the MALL!
mall they charge cheeper and do a great job
beauty salon babe. congrats you will look gorgeousss
I'd say the mall. I've had it done both places, and when I went to the beauty salon I was completely disappointed as my makup wore off within the first hour of a 6 hour party!
When I went to the mall, my makeup stayed on all night perefectly fine apart from some eyeliner smears which i wiped off with a tissue- it stayed on all night for a party of the same length!
The mall people are used to dealing with all kinds off skin types, beauty salons generally only have a certain group of people per salon (its an assumption, but I think it's right!) Plus mall ladies use a primer and other makeup that keeps it hip and stays all night
Just my opinion!
OFCOURSE in a well know beauty salon..
beauty salon.the people at the mall might not even know what that is.lol
I'm going to completely honest with you sweetie, sometimes both can be deceiving, so be careful. Go before that special day and try it out in both places... Watch how they do someone elses make up, in that way you know if you might like it...
Good luck!
The makeup girls at the mall will try to sell you every little thing they have, and will make you look like a clown. Try the salon, they're more likely to give you honest answers, not just make you want to buy their products. Have fun at prom and take lots of pics for memories in the years to come.
Is more then one mole/beauty spot on the face nasty?
What do you think about mole/beauty spots on the face.
Do you think that they make you look uglier?
Is just one ok but more then one ugly?
Does anyone have more then one on your face?
I'm pretty insecure about the fact that i have a few beautyspots/moles
are they bad or good?
No they are not 'ugly'.... Why do you think they are called beauty spots? If you want an honest answer post a pic of your self.
Does anybody know any good beauty or hair tips?
I would love some style, hair, and beauty tips. If anybody knows some, please tell me.
try using the baby gel on ur skin when ur in the shower. after u wash ur body with ur favorite body wash, try applying baby gel on to ur skin.u will be amazed on how soft ur skin will be when u dry off. (make sure u don't apply too much) remember it's baby gel and baby gel is very oily! just a little bit will do the trick.
always ensure that shampoo u use are of natural products , no chemicals, wash the hair with ayurvedic shampoos and ayurvedic soaps,
Use the Amrut Amla Hair Oil for strength and smoothness of hair
My best beauty tip would be to moisturize your skin and exfoliate it.You must you a SPF 15 to protect your face from the sun and always have sunglasses(you won't have premature wrinkles at 35)Hair tips....Use a lot and i mean a lot of conditioners(well...the right one for your hair type or else it useless...)Drink lot and lots of water....My boyfriend love my skin...He says that i have kissable skin because it's so soft...GOOD LUCK !!!!
never use a brush on wet hair....when shampooing do not apply the shampoo to ends of hair... they will get clean when rinsing...use tepid water to wash hair,hot water will dry out hair
what hair tips/styles?
